JAMAICAN JERK POPCORN

NEED

  • 3 Tablespoons of Peanut or Canola Oil
  • 1/2 Cup or approximately 3 oz. Popcorn Kernels
  • 1/4 Cup melted Butter
  • JAMAICAN HABANERO & LIME JERK RUB

Heat the oil in a 3 to 6 quart saucepan on medium heat. Next, drop a couple of kernels into the oil & cover the pan. When the kernels pop add the remaining 1/2 Cup of Popcorn kernels evenly. Cover the pan, remove from the heat, & wait 30 seconds. Return the pan to the heat. Once the popping starts, gently shake the Popcorn over the burner. If using a ceramic stove top, shake it above the stove so as not to scratch the surface. Once the popping slows to several seconds between pops, remove from heat & dump Popcorn into a large bowl.

In the bowl pour the melted butter over the Popcorn. Shake the JAMAICAN SPICE to taste all over the Popcorn. Toss the Popcorn gently to evenly coat it. Spread on a baking sheet or sheets at 300 Degrees F. for 3 minutes or until desired crispiness.

Serve & enjoy.
